LAS VEGAS – June 1, 2020 – The Folded Flag Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to honoring the legacy of America’s fallen service members by helping their families with financial support for education, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Ramieh has joined the Foundation as Chief Administrative Officer.
In this role, Ramieh is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of The Folded Flag Foundation, as well as overseeing all marketing efforts, including event planning, public relations, scholarship outreach, and other administrative duties.
Ramieh has extensive non-profit experience that spans more than 10 years. She most recently served as director of philanthropy for Goodwill of Southern Nevada. Prior to that, Ramieh served as senior director of development and chief development officer for the American Red Cross in Las Vegas.
“I am deeply honored to join The Folded Flag Foundation and continue its proud tradition of helping Gold Star families achieve their educational dreams,” said Ramieh. “Coming from a family of military service members, I am committed to using my non-profit and philanthropy experience to continue building awareness for Folded Flag and implementing strategies to fulfill its mission of providing scholarships for the spouses and children of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
The Folded Flag Foundation was formed in 2014 as a way to provide financial aid to the spouses and children of U.S. military and other government personnel who lost their lives in defense of our country. To qualify for The Folded Flag Foundation’s scholarship program, applicants must be the spouse (any age) or child (aged 0-26) of a U.S. military or government personnel who lost his or her life as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat or stateside military operations. All operational and administrative costs are paid for by corporate underwriters: Black Knight Inc., Fidelity National Financial, FIS and ServiceLink. As a result, 100 percent of all public donations go directly to the qualifying family members.
“We are extremely pleased that Jennifer has joined The Folded Flag Foundation to share her extensive experience and expertise in the non-profit sector to support our mission of giving back to those who have lost loved ones in the line of service,” said Kim Frank, president of The Folded Flag Foundation. “Jennifer has a proven background that will help lead Folded Flag to continued success and further our ability to provide much-needed financial aid to surviving family members.”
This year, Folded Flag is kicking off its sixth year in operation. Since opening its doors, Folded Flag has awarded more than $6 million in educational funding to the spouses and children of fallen service members. Applications for the 2020-21 school year are currently being reviewed and will be awarded to approved recipients in time for the fall academic semester.
