This year marks The Folded Flag Foundation’s fifth year in operation. We are so proud of the work we have accomplished and the people we have helped throughout this time, and we look forward to continuing to make an impact for many more years to come.
Since opening our doors in 2014, we have awarded 774 scholarships worth more than $6 million. But our job is not done. There are still hundreds of Gold Star spouses and children in need of educational funding. As we connect with more and more families each year, we continue to see an increasing need among younger children struggling to navigate a pathway to college after the tragic loss of a parent.
Our goal is to help these children secure an education and pave the way for college and future careers. We owe it to the brave men and women who died defending our country.
Thank you for your continued support of The Folded Flag Foundation and for our nation’s military and their families.
MORE THAN $680,000 RAISED FOR GOLD STAR FAMILIES AT INAUGURAL SALUTE TO SERVICE GALA
Thank you to everyone who attended The Folded Flag Foundation’s inaugural Salute to Service Gala on Sept. 11, 2019, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. We raised more than $680,000 that will go directly to providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of our nation’s fallen. Photos from the event can be found here.
Pete Hegseth, a decorated war veteran, military and veterans advocate, highly acclaimed author and co-host of “FOX & Friends Weekend,” served as the Gala’s emcee. David McCormick and Dina Powell McCormick, the gala’s honorees, were presented with the Salute to Service award for their continuous commitment and support of our nation’s military.
The event would not have been possible without the generous support from our sponsors: CC Capital, Black Knight, Inc., Dun & Bradstreet, FIS, FNF, Foley Family Wines, Frank and Marissa Martire Family, Loeb & Loeb, CIT, The Massey Family Charitable Foundation, Motive Partners, Brian Levine, NCR Foundation and Cary Thompson.
If you did not have the chance to attend the gala and would like to contribute to our cause, please visit our website here.

We are excited to announce that various O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar, Village Inn and Bakers Square locations raised more than $580,000 for The Folded Flag Foundation during their annual Give $5, Get $5 campaign. Each guest who donated $5 on their dine-in check received a $5 voucher toward a future in-store purchase at the respective participating restaurant brand.
Over the past three years, O’Charley’s has raised more than $390,000 for Folded Flag and we were excited to conclude our 4th year in partnership by extending this promotion to include both Village Inn and Bakers Square.
This partnership is extremely important to Folded Flag and we are honored to have the support from American Blue Ribbon Holdings restaurants and their guests.

FOLDED FLAG IS PROUD TO BE PART OF THE COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN FOR CHARITABLE GIVING
The Folded Flag Foundation is once again a part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).
The CFC is the largest annual workplace charity campaign, raising millions of dollars a year. Pledges made by federal employees, postal and military donors during the campaign season (each fall) support eligible nonprofits.
The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
If you are a government employee or service member, please consider Folded Flag for your CFC donation this year. The donation period runs through Jan. 12, 2020. Learn more here.
Thank you again for your continued support of The Folded Flag Foundation and our mission, as well as our Gold Star families to whom we owe so much.
