Happy International Peace Day!
In 1981, the United Nations started the International Day of Peace, also known as Peace Day, an effort to recognize those who work towards building a culture of peace.
Since 2001, 7,000 brave men and women have died in the Global War on Terror while fighting to restore peace. The Folded Flag Foundation honors our nation’s heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice by providing educational scholarships and support grants to the spouses and children who have been left behind. Celebrate International Peace Day by thanking those who continue to work towards establishing peace and remembering those who gave their lives fighting for it.
